WHAT IS A LIFESTYLE HOME LOAN (HECM)?
A Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) is a federally insured reverse mortgage for eligible homeowners age 62 and older.
It allows you to access a portion of your home equity as cash flow, a line of credit, or lump sum — while continuing to live in and own your home.
The FHA HECM for Purchase (H4P) allows eligible buyers to purchase a new home using this financing.
Retirement Duration: 18 to 25 years (the equivalent of being unemployed for two decades)
